Proverb Common sayings that convey wisdom beyond what they literally mean.

These come in two forms:

  1. Korean, which often includes words that are no longer commonly used. Ex: 아내가 귀여우면 처갓집 말뚝 보고도 절한다.
  2. Chinese, which is usually lifted from some work of poetry or ancient Chinese proverb. Ex: 죽마고우

You'll need to learn these proverbs, because Koreans rely on them a lot.
