조사

명 Marker, Particle

These are words that, by themselves, have no meaning. When attached to 체언 (substantives), 부사 (adverbs), or 어미 (verb endings), they declare what role the word is playing in the sentence.

Here are some of the most common 조사:

• 는/은: Topic Marker
• -가/이: Subject Marker
• 를/을: Object Marker
• -에: 3rd Marker
• -도: also
• -에게, -에서, etc...
• -나/이나: or, as much as
• -와/과: and
• (으)로: by means of, to, with, due to, at, etc...
