VS + 거니와
From Jonathan Gardner's Korean Notebook
Verb Stem + 거니와
This is an archaic form that is only used formally nowadays. I rarely, if ever, hear it in common speech. It means, "still more...". Commonly, in the scriptures, you will see "내가 너희에게 권면하거니와", which literally means, "I exhort you still more". This simply translates to "I exhort you" in English.
