보다: (Verb)

  1. See, look, witness. Literally, with your eyes.
  2. Observe, look at, examine ideas and theories and thoughts.
  3. See, look, as in look around town or see the sights.
  4. Read, look at, like reading a newspaper or a book.
  5. Look over, examine, look into, like an investigation.
  6. Judge, read, tell, as in a fortune or a case before the judge.
  7. Estimate, offer, bid.
  8. Watch over, look after, take charge of, as in a child or an issue.
  9. Try, attempt, test.
  10. Take an exam.
  11. Take, get a relative or find a wife / husband for someone.
  12. Experience, get, undergo some experience.
  13. G + 보다: Try something out.

보다: (more) than, as in comparatives.

Ex:

  • 이 것보다 많다: It is more than this.
  • 전보다 아프다: It hurts more than last time.
