1. to give

a. (some kind of thing) To take something out and cause someone to carry, realize, or act.
b. (some kind of bad thing) To make someone suffer or experience.
c. (things like strings or ropes) To continue to extend.
  • 연주 주다: to extend the rope some more
d. (vision) To turn to.
e. (body) to face a direction.
f. (shot or treatment) To give treatment or a shot.
g. (speed, strength, etc...) To cause to increase.

2. 보동사</category> to (do something) for / in behalf of (someone else)

To do something on behalf or for someone else. Requires after the verb to be attached to.
  • 주다: to read to someone else (not for yourself)
